OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS NOT ENROLLED IN HISTORY MODULES
All History Department courses are open to students not enrolled in History Modules. Courses at the 1000 and 2000 levels have no prerequisites and therefore require no Special Permissions for enrolment. Courses at the 3000 level generally require students to have taken one history course at the 2200 level or above. Courses at the 4000 level generally require students to have taken two history courses at the 2200 level or above. Students from other disciplines who can demonstrate that they possess the skills necessary to succeed in the Departmentís third and fourth year courses may seek Special Permission to enrol in these classes. Priority in enrolment will be given to students in History Department modules. History courses at the 2100 level are especially designed for students who are not enrolled in History Department modules. These courses put greater emphasis on lectures and examinations and less emphasis on writing assignments than other history courses.
