Award Description

The A. Dorothy Turville Undergraduate Language Travelling Fellowships

Awarded annually on a competitive basis to undergraduates registered in the constituent University, who are entering the third year of an honors program at Western in French, German, Russian, or Spanish. Preference will be given to students studying the French language and to those who propose to teach French in elementary or secondary schools. Part-Time students will be eligible for the Fellowship, provided that they have completed the full second year of their honors program. Students receiving an Interprovincial Bursary are not eligible to receive this award. Applications should be submitted by students prior to the last day of classes each year to the Chair of the Departments of French, and Modern Languages and Literatures.

$2,000 for students taking year three abroad in Europe, and $500 for students taking year three in Quebec (Non Renewable)
