Award Description

The James Edward Melborne Flinn Award in Kinesiology

Awarded to a student registered in second year or higher in the School of Kinesiology on the basis of academic performance (minimum "B" average) and athletic leadership. Preference will be given to a student whose parent(s) is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 8, Stratford Ontario; or whose parent is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion; and if none, to a qualified student whose home is in Wellington, Huron, or Perth counties or the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. The recipient will be chosen by the Bursary Committee of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 8 Stratford, Ontario, on the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee of the School of Kinesiology. Established through a generous bequest from Coral Irene Flin in memory of her father.
