The London Music Scholarship Foundation Awards

This private foundation supports music students at The University of Western Ontario in a variety of ways. Established through the generosity of the London Music Scholarship Foundation.

Annual competition: Several scholarships and prizes are awarded on the sole basis of excellence in performance, demonstrated in public competition held in March. Undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Music, and applicants for admission to the Faculty are eligible. To participate, performers must request application material from the Dean of the Faculty of Music and register for the competition not later than February 1. Awards are received in the Fall following the competition, upon registration in the Faculty of Music. In the 1995 competition, eight $1,500 tuition scholarships were awarded, from funds which include endowments named in honor of Bessie and Joe McManus, Guy Lombardo, and Healey Willan. In addition to their scholarships, Lawson Prizes were won by the three best competitors.
