Award Description

The Dorothy Thompson Awards (12)

Awarded to students who have completed one year at The University of Western Ontario who have demonstrated financial need, academic achievement (minimum 70% average) and have demonstrated leadership qualities as a current member of an intercollegiate athletic team. Preference will be given to students in the intercollegiate football program. These awards were established through Foundation Western in honor of Dorothy Thompson whose three sons played football at three different CIAU institutions (The University of Western Ontario, Carleton University and the University of Ottawa).

Up to $1,000 each

This award will receive matched funding from the Ontario Government through the Student Opportunity Trust Fund.
