Course Description

Philosophy 281F/G Moral Theory

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the core issues and theoretical approaches in contemporary moral philosophy, both normative and meta-ethical. Approaches to be covered include utilitarianism, deontology and virtue theory, moral relativism, moral realism, constructivism, and feminist critiques and alternatives.

Antirequisite: Philosophy 201F/G, Philosophy 362E
