Course Description

Physics 259E Intermediate Physics Laboratory

Students will gain a thorough introduction to experimental methods through experiments on electricity and magnetism, thermal physics, optics and modern physics.

Antirequisites: The former Physics 242a, 244b, 251a, 252b, 256a, 258b
Prerequisites: A minimum grade of 60% in Physics 020 and Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, or the former Applied Mathematics 020, or 023a/b plus 024a/b, or the former Mathematics 027.
Corequisites: Physics 200
2 lecture hours, 4 tutorial hours.
