Biology 358a Immunology

(Given by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.) Elementary concepts of immunity, structure and function of the immune system, antigens and antibodies, complement, genetic basis of the immune response, humoral and cellular immunity, immunological tolerance, organ and tissue transplantation, allergy and autoimmunity. Lectures are the same as Biology 357a.

Antirequisite: Biology 357a
Prerequisites: Biology 280a and 281b.
Admission is limited and will be based on grades in prerequisites. Check timetable for constraints.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
