Course Description

Psychology 364F/G Child Psychopathology

This is a theory course designed to introduce the wide-ranging theories of developmental psychopathology in children and adolescents. Topics will include the major DSM-IV diagnostic categories for childhood disorders, as well as research and treatment. The course orientation is empirical, with an emphasis on recent research findings with this population.

Antirequisite: Psychology 142a/b, 143a/b, 342E, 351 or the former Psychology 340, 349a/b.
Prerequisites: Psychology 260a/b and registration in third or fourth year of Honors Psychology Program. General Students and Special Students who received 70% in the prerequisite course(s) may enrol in this course.
4 lecture/discussion hours, half course.
