Course Description

Psychology 386a/b Fundamentals of Cognitive Science

A review of information processing approaches in selected areas such as perception, memory and cognition. An examination of the contributions from psychological experiments, computer simulation, logical models, language analysis, neural models, and comparative cognition.

Antirequisite: The former Psychology 232E.
Prerequisites: At least 60% in a 020-level Psychology course and registration in third or fourth year of an Honors Program or Special Students.
4 lecture/discussion hours, half course.
