Course Description

Biology 393b Genetic Engineering

(Given by the Department of Plant Sciences.) An accounting of the principles in Genetics that have led to advances in animal and plant breeding earlier in this century; recombinant DNA and other technologies employed in contemporary biotechnology; and the basis for continued progress in genetic engineering.

Prerequisites: Biology 280a and 281b.
2 lecture hours, 1 lecture/tutorial hour, half course.
