Course Description

Clothing, Textiles and Design 485a/b Draping

A study of basic principles of freehand apparel design by working with fabric directly on a three-dimensional form. Basic blocks and styles are draped on the dress form with emphasis on professional standards as applicable in an apparel design room.

Prerequisite: Clothing, Textiles and Design 434a/b.
4 lecture/laboratory hours, half course.
