Course Description

International and Comparative Studies 126 Japanese 3

This course is a continuation of International and Comparative Studies 026 (Intermediate Japanese 2). More advanced conversation, written composition, listening skills, and translation techniques will be emphasized. Students will learn all the basic patterns of Japanese grammar, a larger vocabulary, and approximately 300 kanji. Reading materials will be selected from Japanese literature, business or scientific writings, magazines and newspapers.

Antirequisites: The former Modern Eastern Civilizations126.
Prerequisite: International and Comparative Studies 026, or the former Modern Eastern Civilizations 006, or permission of the Department.
