Course Description

Political Science 320E Canadian Political Economy

A seminar course introducing the Political Economy tradition and its relevance to an understanding of the relationship between politics and economies in Canada. The Canadian state's historic and contemporary role in economic life is analyzed, with emphasis on the political dynamics of national policy-making in a federal system subject to intense regional and continental pressures.

Antirequisites: Political Science 367F/G, 392E (if taken at Huron College in 1991/92).
Prerequisites: Political Science 211E, 230E or permission of the Department.
