Comparative Literature and Civilization 232F/G Latin American Identity: Rewriting Comparative Literature

An interdisciplinary introduction to Latin American culture, this course includes excursions into psychology, anthropology and modern art, with the main focus on literature. Special attention is given to the avant-garde movement of the 1910s and 20s and to the "pop" culture of the 1960s.

Prerequisite: Comparative Literature and Civilization 020 or permission of the Department.
3 lecture hours, half course.
