Course Description

Dance 474y Performance Practice and Production

This course provides practical and theoretical understanding of performance and production including rehearsal, presentation and analysis of finished works. Students will plan, create, and participate in a student production. Prior experience in dance composition is required. Students must demonstrate an understanding and mastery of basic technique in modern dance or ballet.

Prerequisite: Dance 372a/b or the former 471a/b or Permission of Kinesiology.
Fall Term: 1 lecture hour. Winter Term: 1 lecture hour, 4 laboratory hours, half course.
