| Earth Sciences 463a/b Glacial Geology of Quaternary Sediments |

Structural and lithologic analysis of glacial deposits to infer present and past ice movement direction and glacial processes. Dynamics and shapes of former ice sheets, relationship to global climate. Applications to mineral and aggregate exploration, agriculture, ground stability and drainage, waste disposal, aquifer production and pollution. Laboratory exercises, field project, field trip. |
| Prerequisites: Earth Sciences 462a/b. |
