French 295 General Linguistics in French

This course surveys the basic principles and areas of French linguistics including semantics, phonetics, phonology, syntax, morphology, theory of sign, dialectology, lexicology and sociolinguistics.

Antirequisite: The former French 396.
Prerequisite: French 020E or 021, or permission of the Department, based on Placement Test.
