PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS

A Special Student is one who has been awarded a first degree equivalent to at least a 15-course degree at Western.

Applicants admitted under regulations governing Special Students are required to accumulate a grade point total of ten on the first five full-course equivalents attempted and on each five courses attempted thereafter.

The progression of students who fail to meet the above requirements shall be at the discretion of the Dean of the Faculty in which the student is registered. The Dean will notify the Registrar's Office in writing of the decision to allow progression where this condition has not been met.

Failure to meet the minimum requirements of ten grade points shall result in automatic withdrawal from the University. Readmission shall be at the discretion of the Admissions Office.
