Course Description

Anthropology 390F/G Topics in the Anthropology of Health and Healing.

This course explores advanced topics in the anthropological study of health and healing such as HIV/AIDS; the political and social ecology of epidemic disease; anthropological approaches to epidemiology and demography; health and "development"; or the health of pre-historic populations, among others. Students are encouraged to check the Anthropology 390F/G Course Outline each year for subjects covered.

Prerequisite: Anthropology 222F/G and 290F/G, or permission of the Department Chair.
Must be registered in Anthropology Year 3 or 4
3 lecture/seminar hours, half course.
