Health Sciences 201 Introduction to Measurement, Research Methods and Evaluation in Health Sciences

(Given by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences). This course will provide students with an understanding of the fundamental aspects of health-care research design and analysis in health disciplines. This course will focus on specific research designs typically encountered in health-care research, bringing together the basic principles of methodology and statistics and highlighting topics such as health measurement, correlation and causation, pre-post designs and randomization.

Antirequisite: All courses and half courses in Introductory Statistics as defined by the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences.
