Course Description

Biology 352b Quantitative Ecology

(Given by the Department of Plant Sciences.) The sampling and analytical environment of ecosystem study: the natural system,problem lines and study scenarios; sampling and description; diversity analysis; patterns on the ground, in time, in analytical space, in structured tables; simultaneous and serial correlation; profile analysis; identification.

Prerequisites: Biology 283a, and one of Biology 244a, Statistical Sciences 135, 222a/b, 241a/b, the former Statistical Sciences 255, or Psychology 281, or permission of the Department.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
