Sociology 469F/G The Labor Process and Industrial Relations

An examination of the organization and dynamics of the industrial and office labor processes. Topics dealt with may encompass developments in the division of labor, technological change and its impacts, comparative industrial relations systems, forms of labor-management relations, including collective bargaining and Quality of Worklife programs.

Prerequisite: Enrolment in fourth year honors Sociology, or in third or fourth year of the Media, Information and Technoculture Program.
3 seminar hours, half course.
