Course Description

Social Work 422a/b Promoting Resilience, Healing and Wellness

Examines the interplay of social, psychological, physical and spiritual factors associated with positive human functioning and well-being. Special consideration will be given to a comparative analysis of the benefits of conventional disease models and alternative procedures and practices. Applies the case-study method across developmental stages of life-cycle.

Prerequisites: All third-year Social Work courses.
Corequisite: Social Work 400, 421a/b, 413a/b, 415a/b.
3 lecture hours, half course.
