Economics 312a/b The Global Trading System

This is a research-oriented course on trade policy in a global context. The course will discuss international trade institutions and agreements, examining such policy issues as trade in commodities, agriculture, contingent protection, and trade in services.

Antirequisite: Economics 395a/b (if taken in 1993-94, 1994-95 or 1995-96).
Prerequisite: Economics 221a/b, 261a/b, 222a/b.
3 lecture hours, half course.
