Microbiology and Immunology 450b Bacterial Diversity

Selected topics in prokaryotic diversity, focussing on bacterial habitats, physiology, associations, life cycles, and their influence on the environment. Current phylogenetic concepts will be discussed.

Prerequisites: Biochemistry 280a (formerly Biology 280a), Microbiology and Immunology 220a or the former Biology 359b.
2 lecture hours, 1 tutorial hour, half course.
