Course Description

Administrative and Commercial Studies 275a/b Business Law I

An introduction to the field of business (commercial) law with emphasis on the principal features of Canada's legal system, the law of torts, the law of contract, and four special contractual relationships: the employment relationship, labor law, the sale of goods, and consumer protection.

Antirequisites: Business Administration 450a/b, Law 402a/b, 403a/b.
Prerequisite: Enrolment in the ACS or BACS program or Honors Geography (Urban Development).
