Course Description

Physics 022 Physics for the Biological and Health Sciences

A physics course which teaches applications of basic physical principles to the study of animal mechanics, fluid mechanics, hearing, vision, radiation biophysics, electricity and the nervous system, and molecular biophysics. This laboratory course is intended for students interested in further study in the biological and health sciences.

Antirequisites: Physics 020, 021, 024, 025, 026, 141a/b.
Prerequisite: Either (i) OAC Calculus or Grade 12U Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus (MCB4U) or Mathematics 012a/b; or (ii) Mathematics 030
3 lecture hours, 3 laboratory/tutorial hours
