Course Description

Physics 461a Quantum Mechanics III

Formalism of quantum mechanics, symmetries, invariance, conservation theorems: path-integral formulation; irreducible tensor operators, rotations, space and time displacements, parity, time reversal; measurement theory; Bell's inequality.

Antirequisite: Applied Mathematics 456b.
Prerequisite: Physics 352b.
3 lecture hours, half course.
