Biology 390a Regulation of Gene Expression in Eukaryotes

An examination of the genetic material and the molecular mechanisms that control the expression of genes in eukaryotic cells. The laboratory will introduce the student to the molecular techniques used to detect changes in gene expression. Recommended for those students planning to register in Biology 338a.

Prerequisites: Biochemistry 280a or the former Biology 280a; Biology 281b, and 290a/b.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
