Course Description

Sociology 341F/G Gender Roles

An examination of the nature and causes of gender role differentiation in contemporary, industrial society. The process of gender-related socialization will be considered as well as the consequences of gender differentiation of the familial, educational, occupational and political status of women.

Prerequisites: Sociology 020 or 021E and enrolment in third or fourth year of either Sociology, the BHSc Aging or Honors Women's Studies
3 hours, half course.
