Mathematics 031 Finite Mathematics

Set theory and logic, permutations and combinations, probability, discrete and continuous random variables, vectors and matrices, linear equations, determinants.

Antirequisite: the former Applied Mathematics 022, 025a/b, the former Applied Mathematics 212a, 213b, the former Applied Mathematics 214a/b, Mathematics 028a/b, 030, 203b, 206a/b, 222a, 283b; the former Mathematics 029a/b, 202a; the former Statistical Sciences 232a, 241a/b, the former Statistical Sciences 255.
Prerequisite: Any OAC Mathematics or Mathematics 012a/b or 017a/b or the former Mathematics 011a/b or any credit in a former Grade 13 Mathematics. 3 lecture hours.
