Chemistry 353a Mechanistic and Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Chemistry 353a is an intermediate level course designed, along with Chemistry 253, to complete an introduction to organic chemistry. The major topics include enols and enolates, aromatic substitution reactions and free radical chemistry.

Antirequisite: Chemistry 323a.
Prerequisite: Chemistry 253.
2 lecture hours, 4 laboratory hours, 1 tutorial hour, half course.
This course is restricted to students in any Honors Chemistry Program.
