Course Description

Earth Sciences 280 Applied Sedimentary and Structural Geology

Concepts emphasizing sedimentary and tectonic structures favourable for the localization of petroleum and mineral deposits. The study of mineral deposits emphasizing their physical and chemical characteristics as targets for exploration geophysics and geochemistry. Primarily for students enrolled in non-Earth Sciences programs.

Antirequisite: Earth Sciences 200a.
Prerequisite: Earth Sciences 020 or equivalent; or permission of the Department.
2 lecture hours, 1 tutorial per week.
