Course Description

Earth Sciences 433a/b Fluids of the Crust

A general discussion of the chemical nature and generation of fluids in the crust. Other topics discussed will include flow of water- oil-gas in rocks, hydraulic fracture, flow during tectonic, metamorphic and ore- forming processes.

Prerequisites: Earth Sciences 312a and 314b, or the former Earth Sciences 311, and 330b; or permission of the Department.
2 lecture hours, 2 laboratory/seminar hours, half course.
