Course Description

ES 300y Selected Experiments in Integrated Engineering

The purpose of this course is to provide integrated engineering students with some of the practical technical aspects of mechanical engineering. The scope is three-fold. First, the students gain experience with the instrumentation and techniques used to quantify physical phenomena. Second, the skills required to analyse and present experimental data are developed and, third, the experiments provide physical expression of the concepts developed during lecture courses.

Prerequisites: CEE 202a/b, MME 213a/b, MME 204a/b, CBE 203a/b, Statistical Sciences 241a/b or Statistical Science 243a/b
Corequisites: CBE 316a/b, enrollment in the Integrated Engineering Program
1 lecture hour and 1.5 laboratory hours, half course over two terms.
