HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ACTUARIAL SCIENCE


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b (or 081a/b with a mark of at least 85%) or Applied Mathematics 026, plus 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Statistical Sciences 023a/b and Linear Algebra 040a/b, if not taken in first year, must be completed before the start of third year.

3.5 courses: Actuarial Science 221a/b, 223a, 225a/b, 327a/b, 329b, 422a/b, 426F/G
4.5 courses: Statistical Sciences 257a, 259a/b, 260b, 325a/b, 357a, 358b, 359a/b, 361a/b, 420a/b
1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b, 251a/b
1.0 course in Actuarial Science at the 400 level (Statistical Sciences 421F/G may be substituted for 0.5 of this requirement)
0.5 course from: Actuarial Science 424a/b or 442a/b
