Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses: Physics 020 or 024 or 026; Calculus 050a/b, and 051a/b (or 081a/b with a mark of at least 85%) or Applied Mathematics 026; Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b; Linear Algebra 040a/b; with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

9.0 courses:

1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b, 251a/b
4.0 courses: Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 259E, 343a/b, 350a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b
0.5 course: Applied Mathematics 261b
2.5 courses: Astronomy 201a/b, 202a/b, 301a/b, 401a/b, 402a/b
0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a
0.5 course from: Physics 326F/G, 369F/G

Students must also complete Physics 279y, 379y and 479y (non-credit seminar courses).
