MAJOR IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS METHODS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Calculus 050a/b; Calculus 081a/b or 051a/b with a mark of at least 60%. Applied Mathematics 026 with a mark of at least 60% may be used to replace this 1.0 Calculus course requirement.

Linear Algebra 040a/b or Applied Mathematics 025a/b with a mark of at least 60%, normally taken in year I. If not taken in year 1, it must be taken in first term of year II.


Module

6.0 courses:

2.5 courses: Applied Mathematics 213b, 261b, 310F/G, 303a/b, 325a/b
0.5 course from: Calculus 280a/b or 250a/b
0.5 course from: Calculus 281a/b or 251a/b
0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a
0.5 course from: Applied Mathematics 375a/b or 315a/b
1.0 course from EITHER Statistical Sciences 241a/b and 0.5 course at the 200 level or above in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or Statistics and Actuarial Science OR Statistical Sciences 257a and 260b
0.5 approved course at the 200 level or above in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or Statistics and Actuarial Science.
