MEDIA, INFORMATION AND TECHNOCULTURE

Part-Time Students

First-year students registered on a part-time basis will be reviewed for admission to second year of their desired program after the completion of 3.0 full-course equivalents, provided they meet the minimum progression or admission requirements and have completed the first year prerequisites for their desired MIT program.

Transfer Students

Transfer students from other post-secondary institutions who meet the minimum admission requirements to transfer to Western may request admission to an MIT Module at the time of application. Admission is highly competitive and contingent on space availability. Students who meet the minimum admission requirements are encouraged to apply well in advance of the application deadline.

Current Western students in other faculties who wish to enter an MIT Module should note that admission decisions to MIT Modules are finalized after the completion of first-year. The option of transferring into an MIT Module is contingent on space availability. Students enrolled in an MIT Module who wish to transfer into another MIT Module will be considered if spaces become available. The admission average will be determined by the number of spaces available versus the number of qualified applicants.
