A complete first year program with:


Principal Courses

Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026.
The former Earth Sciences 020 or its equivalent. See Note.
Physics 020 or 024 or the former 025


Subsidiary Courses

One course from the Faculty of Arts or Social Science
One full-course option
Students must consult the Departments of Earth Sciences and Physics and Astronomy concerning their choices before registering in each year of this program.

Note: Courses equivalent to the former Earth Sciences 020 are any two of Earth Sciences 081a/b, 083F/G, 281b, or the former 082a/b, 085a/b.


Second Year

Four full course equivalents from the following:

Earth Sciences 200a/b, 220a/b, 260a/b
Calculus 250a/b and 251a/b
Physics 201a/b and 202a/b or the former 200; Physics 259E
One half-course approved by both Departments.
