Description: Independent study and writing under the mentorship of a faculty member from one of the disciplines in Science or the Basic Medical Sciences. Restricted to students in the Science and Medical Sciences Scholar's Program.
Antirequisite(s): Scholar's Electives 020y.
Corequisite(s): Maintained enrolment in at least 5.0 other courses during the academic year.
Minimum of 4 hours per week throughout the academic year. 1.0 course. (To be introduced in September 2006.)

Science and Medical Sciences 280, Science and Medical Sciences Research I
Description: Under the mentorship of a faculty member from one of the disciplines in Science or the Basic Medical Sciences, students will work on a research project, keep a complete record of the research and submit a written report and make a presentation describing the research throughout the year. Restricted to students in the Science and Medical Sciences Scholar's Program.
Prerequisite(s): Science and Medical Sciences 080y, or Scholar's Electives 020y, with a mark of at least 80%, a sessional average of at least 80%, with no grade less than 65%, for the session in which Science and Medical Sciences 080y or Scholar's Electives 020y was taken, and a sessional average of at least 70%, with no mark less than 65%, on any additional courses taken during the intervening summer session.
Corequisite(s): Maintained enrolment in at least 5.0 other courses during the academic year; registration in an Honors Specialization module in a Science or Medical Sciences discipline.
Minimum of 4 hours per week throughout the academic year. 1.0 course. (To be introduced in September 2006.)
