MAJOR IN SOCIOCULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including either Anthropology 025F/G and one of Anthropology 026F/G or 027a/b or Anthropology 020E with a mark of at least 60% in each Anthropology course.


Module

6.0 courses:

1.0 course from: Anthropology 211F/G, 212F/G, 216F/G, 217F/G, 218F/G, 219F/G, 231F/G, 232F/G, 233F/G, 234F/G, of which at least 0.5 must be from 211F/G through 219F/G.
2.0 courses: Anthropology 222F/G, 245F/G, 301E
3.0 courses from: Anthropology 201F/G, 202F/G, 203F/G, 204F/G, 220E, 255E, 281F/G, 290F/G, 302F/G, 303F/G, 304F/G, 305F/G, 306F/G, 317F/G, 333F/G, 400E. Students may substitute a maximum of 0.5 course, not previously taken, from: Anthropology 211F/G, 212F/G, 216F/G, 217F/G, 218F/G, 219F/G, 231F/G, 232F/G, 233F/G, 234F/G.
Anthropology 400E is strongly recommended for fourth-year students planning
graduate work in anthropology.

Note: Some courses are offered only in alternate years. Students are advised to consult the Department when planning their module. (See list of the courses by subfield at the end of this section.)
