SPECIALIZATION IN ANTHROPOLOGY


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Anthropology 025F/G and one of Anthropology 026F/G or 027a/b or Anthropology 020E with a mark of at least 60% in each Anthropology course.


Module

9.0 courses:

1.0 course from: Anthropology 211F/G, 212F/G, 216F/G, 217F/G, 218F/G, 219F/G, 230F/G, 231F/G, 232F/G, 233F/G, 234F/G, of which at least 0.5 must be from Anthropology 211F/G through 219F/G.
3.0 courses: Anthropology 222F/G, 245F/G, 301E, 400E
1.0 course from: Anthropology 226a/b and 229F/G OR Anthropology 247a/b and 248a/b
4.0 additional courses in Anthropology numbered 200 or above. Students may substitute a maximum of 1.0 course, not previously taken, from: Anthropology 211F/G, 212F/G, 216F/G, 217F/G, 218F/G, 219F/G, 230F/G, 231F/G, 232F/G, 233F/G, 234F/G.

* Students interested in Linguistics Anthropology should take Anthropology 247a/b and 248a/b. All other students should take Anthropology 226a/b and 229F/G.

Note: Some courses are offered only in alternate years. Students are advised to consult the Department when planning their module. (See list of the courses by subfield at the end of this section.)
