HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN PSYCHOLOGY - BSc


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%, including Psychology 020 or 023 and Calculus 050a/b and either Calculus 051a/b or 081a/b or 091a/b, and 1.0 of the Science courses below. (Students who have completed one of the other mathematics requirements for the Major module should consult the Department.)

Students must also complete Biology 022 or 023 plus 1.0 course from: Chemistry 020, 023, Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b, and 027a/b, Physics 020, 024, or the former Physics 025.

1.0 course from: Psychology 330a/b, 336F/G or the 340-389 series (excluding Psychology 385F/G)

Note: To fulfill the BSc requirements within the Honors Specialization in Psychology - BSc module 6.0 of the Psychology courses must be selected from the following list: Psychology 205a/b, 215a/b, 221a/b, 223a/b, 235a/b, 280E, 281, 282E, 302F/G, 317F/G, 321F/G, 322F/G, 324a/b, 325a/b, 326a/b, 329a/b, 338a/b, 380F/G, 386a/b, 454F/G, 487F/G.

Also, in order to satisfy graduation requirements for an Honors Bachelor of Science degree, students are required to take, outside the Honors Specialization module, an additional 1.0 course from the Faculty of Science/approved Basic Medical Sciences at the 200-level or higher; this course may be an option or part of another module (see Graduation Regulations for Honors Degrees -- additional requirements for the Honors Bachelor of Science).

Effective 2006, students registered in this module may take no more than 9.0 Honors courses in Psychology.
