MINOR IN ECONOMICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Economics 020 with a grade of at least 60%. Students who fail to meet the 60% in Economics 020 may take a Minor module if they have a grade of at least 60% in each of Economics 150a/b and 152a/b. (Students should note the mathematics requirement for some of the courses required in the module.)


Module

5.0 courses:

2.0 courses: Economics 150a/b, 151a/b, 152a/b, 153a/b
1.0 course in Economics designated as "F" or "G"
2.0 additional courses in Economics at the 100 level one of which is Economics 122a/b

Students may replace Economics 122a/b with Statistical Sciences 135 to fulfill the statistics requirement for the module. However, Economics 122a/b must be replaced with another 0.5 course in Economics at the 100 level.

Students enrolled in a Minor in Economics and a module in Statistical and Actuarial Science must replace Economics 122a/b with another 0.5 course in Economics at the 100-level. Statistical Sciences 260b may be used as the prerequisite for Economics 123a/b.
