SPECIALIZATION IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 of the following with a mark of at least 60%: Calculus 050a/b, and 051a/b (or Calculus 081a/b with a mark of at least 85%) or Applied Mathematics 026.
Linear Algebra 040a/b or Applied Mathematics 025a/b with a mark of at least 60%, normally taken in Year 1. If not taken in Year 1, Linear Algebra 040a/b must be taken in the first term of Year 2.

9.0 courses:

0.5 course from: Calculus 250a/b or 280a/b
0.5 course from: Calculus 251a/b or 281a/b
0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a
1.0 course: Applied Mathematics 213b, 261b
6.5 courses from: Applied Mathematics 301a/b, 303a/b, 310F/G, 311a/b, 315a/b, 320b, 325a/b, 353a/b, Computer Science 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y, Mathematics 208a/b, 221F/G, Physics 343a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b, Statistical Sciences 257a, 260b, 325a/b, 357a, or any Applied Mathematics 400-level course. [For these 6.5 courses, some have prerequisites that are not present in the module, and some may be offered only in odd-numbered academic years, starting September 2007.]
