MUSIC PERFORMANCE DIPLOMA (THREE-YEAR PROGRAM)

This is a program for students in performance who wish to concentrate on the study of Music Performance in lieu of, prior to, following or concurrent with a course of study leading to an academic degree.

Although diploma holders represent performers of high artistic attainment, graduate schools generally require an academic degree as well.

In addition to the normal admission requirements of the Faculty of Music applicants must demonstrate a performance level of at least a Conservatory Grade X standard, and show evidence of exceptional performance ability before a jury.

Note: Voice majors must include Music 240a/b/y and 340a/b/y (the former 037y) as electives.


Progression Requirements and Eligibility for Graduation

A grade of 80% or above in the student's Applied Principal Instrument Music 234, 338.

A grade of 60% or above in all other courses.
