ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS TO FIRST YEAR
  • Six Grade 12U or M-level credits which must include:
    • Grade 12U (ENG4U) English.
    • Grade 12U (SBI4U) Biology.
Note:
  • The following courses are recommendations when planning Grade 11 and 12 curriculum.
    • Grade 12U or M-level Math.
    • Grade 11 or 12U or M-level Physics.
  • In addition to the required Biology course as stated above, a high school background comprising a cross-section of Science courses such as Chemistry, Physics and Math will provide a stronger academic background in preparation for senior Kinesiology subjects in biomechanics and exercise physiology. It is strongly recommended that students who wish to pursue the Honors Specialization in Kinesiology - BSc and those students in Kinesiology wishing to select Additional Science Modules from the Faculty of Science, have a very strong science background from high school. Refer to the UWO science courses for specific high school prerequisites.
  • Some of the first year Science courses* that students may select in preparation for second year of the Honors Specialization in Kinesiology - BSc may require Grade 12U Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Grade 12U Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry Grade 12U (MCV4U), or Grade 12U Geometry and Discrete Mathematics (MGA4U).
