MAJOR IN THEORETICAL PHYSICS
Admission Requirements
This module must be taken in conjunction with a Minor or Major in Applied Mathematics; a Major in Applied Mathematics is suggested. The Major in Theoretical Physics cannot normally be completed in three years.
 
Completion of first-year requirements, including either Calculus 1000A/B or 1100A/B; and Calculus 1501A/B with a mark of at least 60% (or Calculus 1301A/B with a mark of at least 85%). Applied Mathematics 1413 (with a mark of at least 60%) may be used to replace the 1.0 Calculus course requirement.

Either Physics 1301A/B and 1302A/B, or Physics 1401A/B and 1402A/B, or Physics 1501A/B and Physics 1502A/B with an average mark of at least 60% in the two half courses, or the former Physics 1020, 1024 or 1026 with a mark of at least 60%"

Mathematics 1600A/B, or the former Linear Algebra 1600A/B or Applied Mathematics 1411A/B with a mark of at least 60%. If not taken in year 1, it may also be taken in first term of year 2.
